Benny Cahill is back in action, kind of. This post is to announce the release of a paperback collection of the Benny Cahill stories. The Benny Cahill, Troubleshooter paperback contains the stories that you already enjoy (Don’t Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth, Where There’s a Will, Now Hear This, Reach for It, and To the Moon). It also includes an entirely new story written just for the paperback.
The new story is entitled “Brothers in Arms”. This new short story is set after the events of “Reach for It”. In this story, one of Cahill’s old war buddies is accused of murder and it’s up to Cahill to prove the man’s innocence.
As part of creating this paperback, I spent several months editing and rewriting the existing five Benny Cahill stories. I have updated them on all ebook marketplaces, so if you previously ordered a copy it should be updated soon.
I have recently added the Benny Cahill stories (minus Brothers in Arms, which is a paperback exclusive) to a new ebook store. The store is named Leanpub. Leanpub is primarily designed to help technically-minded people write and publish their own books. Because of this many of the books that they offer are very technical. However, Leanpub has some tools that are very helpful to non-technical writers. I’m planning to cover the merits of Leanpub in e future article. Until then, take a couple of minutes to look at my page on Leanpub.
Please share this post with your fellow detective story buffs.
I’m happy to announce the release of a new ebook, entitled Church Triumphant: 25 Men and Women who Gave Their Lives to Christ. This new ebook is available for preorder from Amazon, Barnes and Noble , Kobo, and iTunes. Church Triumphant will be officially released on April 5th. Easter Sunday.
I currently working on a new Benny Cahill mystery for an Amazon bundle being put together by a number of fellow writers. I don’t want to give away too much information, but it titled All that Glitters is Not Gold and it involves Cahill in a museum. Keep your eyes out for information about the bundle. Until then, enjoy this new cover.
On top everything else, I am working on a mystery novel collaboration project with two fellow writers. All I can say is that it is a noir story set in modern-day. We’re still in the early stage of the project.
Up until now, this blog has mainly been a place for me to tell you about my new books and projects. Starting next week, I will start writing posts about my favorite Old Time Radio and TV programs. If you like my stories, you’ll enjoy these great shows from the Golden Age of radio.
After several months of hard work, I’m proud to announce that the newest stories of Benny Cahill, PI are now available on Smashwords. Trouble is My Client contains FOUR new and never before seen Benny Cahill stories. These stories (Where There’s a Will, Now Hear This, Reach for It, and To the Moon) recall the days of Old Time Radio and the detective stories that formed a generation of Americans. From the Smashwords page:
Benny Cahill is back. After getting involved in a crooked horse race in Don’t Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth, the cynical and wise-cracking private detective returns in four never before published mysteries. These noir stories are inspired by the author’s love of Old Time Radio shows. This collection includes a foreword by Theresa Linden, author of Chasing Liberty.
Click the book cover below to go to the book’s Smashwords page. More ebook stores will be added soon. Don’t forget to rate and review after you have read it.
The next Benny Cahill ebook now has a cover. Angie at Fiverr did a great job. If you need a book cover, check her out and tell her I sent you. The ebook is 85% done and on track for release in the early part of December.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
My ebook Don’t Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth is now free on all platforms, except Amazon. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a way to make it free on Amazon. If you enjoy hard-boiled mysteries or detective shows from the golden age of radio, check it out. You can find it on Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, Kobo or iTunes. If you like it, feel free to review it.
On another note, I am working on the next installment of the Benny Cahill series. The working title, for now, is Where There’s a Will. I plan to release it on September 15th. Keep an eye on this blog for more announcements.
